Morning Come

When will morning come?
With the sun
With the cars
In the rush
Or riding on the bus?

And does it rise
In the skies
Unending work
On the farms
Filling up the barns?

Or could it shine
At a time
In the dark
Filled with cares
With a prayer?

Or with a light
In the night
Mary's child
God's own Son
His morning come!

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us. Luke 1:78 KJV

My wife and I serve as members of a worship team at a multicultural church. Our members are from Brazil, Nepal and the U.S.. Because of the many languages and cultures in our local body we face unique challenges, such as how many songs will we do in English today? What new songs can we use in either language that are simple enough for the people to sing. The songs, the devotions and insights here are a small portion of some of the ways God is leading us as we push towards the goal. I pray that these will be both a blessing and an encouragement for those of you who may pass by Praise 2 Worship.

  1. Amen, brother! Every morning His mercies are new. Great is God’s faithfulness! As a guy who comes from farmer stock, I can relate to the filling up the barns stanza. I enjoy your poetry! Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Thanks Dave. Nice to hear from another early riser. I was praying through a restless night till an assurance of faith gave me peace and the first words for this. I always appreciate your comments. God bless

      1. I milked cows at a dairy while I was in high school. Starting get up early then and never stopped. I’m glad you feel better after your prayer-full night.
