Twenty-Four Hours

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16

Just these twenty-four short hours
That’s all we have today
Fourteen hundred forty minutes
To do and speak and pray
Eighty-six thousand four hundred seconds
Take wing and off they fly
Till out on our horizon
They turn and wave goodbye

These words we choose to speak
And the paths we walk upon
The tasks we put our hands to
Will never be undone
But prayer in faith has power
To redeem the least of these
And find in Father’s presence
A grace that will not cease

He is love and hope and goodness
Our Savior ever true
Through teach step He'll walk beside us
And guide us all night through!

Day Two: Ten Questions for God

Do you have a question for God today? After forty-one years as a Christian I still do!I Today is day two of this small series of questions for God. One day, When Jesus was teaching, Thomas interrupted with a question, “How can we know the way?” John 14:5 The answer Jesus gave him can still leave us wondering if we are only looking our next step, while Jesus is calling us to look farther to see the goal…IMG_4851

I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me. John 14:6

But if  you are a little like me, then maybe God’s answer to David’s similar prayer in Psalm 25 will help you. When David asked “Show me your ways,” God answered, “He leads the humble in what is right and teaches the humble His way”       Psalm 25:5

Maybe our biggest problem is is not the thing we are struggling with but is in our own pride. The humility of Christ in our heart gives us eyes to see just like the 3-D glasses in a theater help us to see clearly. In the blur of the hurry of our daily concerns, Christ has already given all we need to find the way, when we yield to His hand on the steering wheel of our life.
