When we were in Brazil a few years ago we were constantly amazed by the variety and beauty of the tropical fruits. Some were brightly colored and sweet while some were strangely tangy and exotic. Given just the right climate and soil the fruit was abundant and healthy. But even in Brazil not every plant can yields beautiful fruit. There are also poisonous plants and thorns. Everything begins with the right seed.
Having just the right amount of rainfall, sunshine and deep fertile soil will give us an abundant harvest in our lives. But only having the right seed planted will ensure the harvest will be good and beautiful fruit. Paul tells us the best seed to have planted.
Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. Galatians 3:16
Before I start out the door I need to have a fruit inspection and ask myself: What is growing in my garden today?
