Oh God I Wonder

Oh God I wonder how you know
And why you think of me
When I am busy with small things
And by none other seen

While flowers bloom in back yards
When sparrows feed at dawn
Before our children wake to play
And the dew is on the lawn

You are with me on this pathway
Walking beside through every mile
Showing wounds that say You died for me
So You could call me child

Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands;
and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
John 20:27 KJV

As A Butterfly Rests

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 ESV

As a butterfly rests
In the palm of our hand
When its flower-top flying is past
Jesus calls us to give
Him the weight of our load
When the pace of our race runs too fast

And take up a burden that's easy and light
And a joy as we give Him control
Then listen and learn from His meek lowly heart
That in Him is refreshing for souls!

Keep on seeking

She delicately yet ceaselessly looks for the next flower. Something in her tiny mind whispers, “winter is coming”. She rests each night calmly waiting for sunrise knowing that she has done her best and the rest remains in her creator’s hands.

Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
