The Hem of His Garment

Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well. Mark 6:56 NKJV

My Maundy Thursday offering is a video with three of the most loved songs which we normally sing at the nursing homes that I visit. This year the only melodies that can penetrate those walls are these You Tube videos which I have been making each week. Each session carries a short devotion and includes sub-titles for people to be able to sing along with the hymns.  Just think of it like sending flowers. If you could share these with someone in long term care, then just as God used the hem of His garment to bring grace and healing He can use these simple videos to be a blessing to those now locked in nursing homes this Easter. In The Garden Of Prayer

I have been so excited to find that a few of my friends who work in the nursing homes where I have ministered have been able to share these simple videos with the residents. Though not highly professional in quality these are the songs that they love to sing and I have included sub-titles to help them join in. If you know of anyone serving now in a long term care facility especially in this crisis it would be a great blessing if you could share these hymns with them. This is my small offering to encourage them as they are sealed off from family members, friends and even pastors, chaplains and priests. God bless

Devotional for Long Term Care

Having had the wonderful privilege of serving as a nursing home chaplain, I have learned much about hope from the residents, staff and families. If the reality of long term care is a part your life this book is specially written for you. This edition has been updated and includes several new devotional readings and an introduction touching on the realities of the novel Corona virus outbreak. My prayer is that this small book may be a place of hope and calm in the midst of the storm for you.
