Gena’s Testimony

Last Friday, Gena, who is one of our volunteers gave her testimony about how God has helped her deal with her daughter’s epilepsy. Her daughter Lindsey, who is just fourteen years old, already struggles with a non-verbal form of autism. But starting last year, that battle broke out on a second front, when Lindsey began experiencing seizures: some large, and some small. So far, they have run several tests, including an overnight study at a major hospital in our area. It is humbling to listen to how Gena talks about how God has helped her deal when the worst of these episodes come. She explains that there is no secret, it is all grace! Whether you have a family member dealing with any of these same issues, or if your struggles are in a completely different area, I think you will be encouraged, by what she has to say.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 NKJV
