Love settles swiftly in the heart
Where Christ Jesus comes to reign
While Joy comes bursting like a flood
And Peace begins its reign
But patience keeps me through the night
As she lags behind the rest
And holds my heart through fire and flood
For the moment God knows best

When the fiercest storm wind blows
She fills my cup with living hope

As he and his wife Claudia have given their lives in ministry, and missions, they have modeled patience. Through suffering and even slander, they have maintained both the joy and the meekness of Jesus.

At first you had me because I thought you were talking about coffee! But his is wonderful too!
That’s funny! No, I was forced to think about patience yesterday, while I spent 5 hrs with some medical tests. Some things God gives us as an immediate gift – like salvation. But patience? Not a chance! That we can only learn drop by drop, as we pass through trials, suffering or grief. It is still the Spirit’s work, but I am convinced it is the slowest miracle of all!
