Jesus Watches Sparrows

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29‭-‬31 ESV

It doesn’t get any more real than worshipping with my friends in memory care. No lights..no smoke…not even a microphone and yet there is the joy of Jesus reflected in their eyes. What a privilege it is to get to sing for them. If you want to serve in your community you won’t have to look far. Start visiting a friend or family member and ask God to use you to help feed a few other sparrows with the hope of Jesus Christ.

  1. One of my favorite hymns Pastor Pete! Your words “No lights..no smoke…not even a microphone and yet there is the joy of Jesus reflected in their eyes” got me thinking of what Jesus said in John 4:23- “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”

  2. God loves to take what we think of as small and enlarge it in ways we can’t even fathom. I think often He doesn’t even let us see how He is using our ministries, perhaps in order to teach us that we serve because we love Him, and we share that love with others. I just love how you share with us, Pete. Keep serving and worshipping with these wonderful ones that God loves!
