Human Rights?

Nice to hear that an orangutan who is moving to Florida has gained human rights. When will those same rights be granted to the unborn? Jesus still weeps..

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14 ESV

My wife and I serve as members of a worship team at a multicultural church. Our members are from Brazil, Nepal and the U.S.. Because of the many languages and cultures in our local body we face unique challenges, such as how many songs will we do in English today? What new songs can we use in either language that are simple enough for the people to sing. The songs, the devotions and insights here are a small portion of some of the ways God is leading us as we push towards the goal. I pray that these will be both a blessing and an encouragement for those of you who may pass by Praise 2 Worship.

  1. Thank you Pastor Pete for bringing this up. The attitude of the world to the unborn child is indeed a paradox. The other day in the news, a pregnant woman was shot while engaged in a fight. After recovery, the judge declared that she could have prevented the fight if she was concerned about the unborn. She was sentenced for putting her baby in harm’s way. Implying that the court recognized the baby as having a right to life.

It got me thinking. If that court could pronounce the woman guilty for endangering her unborn child, how come many laws do not recognize the unborn as human?
