The Wondrous Nose

On the day of our creation

God made the wondrous nose

So we could smell what Mom was cooking

And we could sniff the fragrant rose

When we’re sick it’s always running

When we’re happy then it glows

And it twinkles when were laughing

And turns up at smelly toes!

But the best thing that it tells us

And of everything it knows

Is the air is always sweetest

In the garden where Christ rose!

24 Hours

Just 24 hours is what we have today

Just 1,440 Minutes To do and speak and pray

86,400 seconds fly and never come again

Our 24 hours are passing and just memories remain

The words we choose to speak will forever echo on

And What we choose to do can never be undone

But hope and faith and goodness

And a Helper always true

Gives your 24 long hours

God’s light to shine in you!

The World Stood Still

The World Stood Still

He had walked on water

Given life to the dead

He had fed five thousand

With five loaves of bread

But on that day

When the world stood still

Jesus gave His life

At His Father’s will

Then while soldiers gambled

For the clothes He wore

His disciples hid

Behind locked doors

But by His cross

One thief believed

And Mary wept

As He struggled to breath

And the thunder roared

And as darkness fell

He cried out “Forgive!”

And the world stood still
