I ran until my legs gave out
Yet pursuing with relentless will
My enemies ran swifter still
Whose names were fear and doubt

Those twin liars taunted me
Till I cried to the Lord
Then in stillness came His word
“Stand child and they will flee!

For all your power you have given
To running from this war
Forgetting I have more
Reserved for you in Heaven

And all hope is never gone
For I hear the desperate calling
I will lift those who are falling
And become their strength and song


 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

I Looked all Through the Forests Deep

I looked all through the forests deep
Over hills through rushing streams
Until sunset I searched on
For peace I’d glimpsed in dreams

Till in complete exhaustion
I sat down to catch my breath
Just then I heard the gentle voice
Of Christ calling me to rest

And when I turned to look at Him
He showed His hands with wounds
And invited me to touch those scars
Where nails had pierced Him through

Then in worship I fell down
For suddenly I knew
That His peace for which I’d searched
 He would give me all night through

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. 
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Earth and Sky Are Bigger

I've heard our earth is just a speck
In this universe so grand
And we are just a candle's flame
On this tiny grain of sand

But then I hear a chorus
Ringing deep down in my heart
Saying earth and sky are bigger
Than what folks think they are

And my hope rests on God's promise
That He who shepherds lambs 
And formed mighty the Milky Way
Holds us safely in His hands

I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me.
