Oh God I wonder how you know And why you think of me When I am busy with small things And by none other seen While flowers bloom in back yards When sparrows feed at dawn Before our children wake to play And the dew is on the lawn You are with me on this pathway Walking beside through every mile Showing wounds that say You died for me So You could call me child Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Grace for the Road
At the hem of the garment of Jesus Was a place that was humble and low And a Master so Holy yet gentle All the years of her searching He knows While she presses through crowds Jesus lingered No one noticed her there in that place But there at the hem of His garment She found mercy and healing and grace So trust Him today and forever Take hold of the hem of His robe For He welcomes the humble and weary And has promised us grace for the road! And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” Matthew 9:20-21 ESV
Not a Very Good Waiter!
I’m not a very good waiter
I just hate to be standing around!
But I’ve learned that the times when I wait on the Lord
That in Him joy and strength can be found
But when I complain that it's going too slow
Then He waits for me to quiet down
For Jesus gives His grace to the meek
With His promise of life that abounds
Then after all has been said in my day
When I finally trust He knows best
He comes and He carries me on eagle’s wings
To His mountain where eagles can rest!

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
