Come and Dine! – An Easter Message — Walking With Lambs

If you feel like you have been up all night fishing, without catching even a single one, you are in the same boat with the disciples. People who live in a nursing home, often wonder why God has allowed this to happen to them or if He has anything left for them to do. The good news of Easter and of today’s message is that no matter what has happened or how we feel, Jesus still has a job for us to do! I hope you enjoy this session recorded yesterday which includes the hymn, “Come and Dine!” Have a blessed weekend everybody!

Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. John 21:5-6 […]

Come and Dine! – An Easter Message — Walking With Lambs

In the Shadow of His Wings

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all our mind and with all your strength.
Mark 12:30 NIV
We Love the Lord with all our hearts
Where worries come with fears
And Love Him more with all our minds
When grief walks in with tears
Then love Him still with all our strength
If weariness surrounds
For in Jesus we can rest
Where His real peace is found

And when in Christ our life is lost
Our soul lifts up and sings
To Him who offers joyful rest
In the shadow of His wings!

Quiet Sunday Thoughts- Selah

Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.
Selah. Psalm 46:10-11 NKJV

“Selah…The pause is not an exclamation of dismay, but merely a rest in music. We do not suspend our song in alarm, but tune our harps again with deliberation amid the tumult of the storm.” Charles Spurgeon

For our quiet Sunday thoughts I am sharing a song by Lindsay Brackin of Sounds Like Reign. We used to sing the words of this Psalm in church but I have not heard it for many years. I pray that you may find a moment of quiet stillness and a Selah in your busy schedule today. May the words of the Lord enlighten your eyes, make you wise in His service and convert your soul to rest in Him and trust in His word forever. Selah
