When you feel abandoned remember –
He was abandoned for you so that you would never be alone! The sky’s the limit in His love for you!
I almost mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday but when I saw the tiny wild flowers growing I decided to leave it for another day. The children next door saw them and sent their father to knock on our back door. They wanted to know if please they could dig a few to take home! Jesus said that the most valuable things in life are hidden but they can be found. Maybe we just need to have the hearts and eyes of children to see what really matters!
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53 Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud and laid him in a tomb cut in stone, where no one had ever yet been laid. Luke 23:52-53 ESV
Jesus rested in the tomb on the Sabbath as God the Father had rested on the seventh day at creation. There was nothing for Him to do. There were no paths for Him to walk. Jesus laid silently that Holy Saturday waiting in hope for the promise of resurrection. Do you find it hard to wait, to rest and to hope? Remember th
at doing nothing and accomplishing nothing are not the same thing. While Jesus lay buried doing nothing He was accomplishing His part for the salvation of the world!
