Whether watching on the evening news 
Or just crawling from my bed
Sometimes it’s hard to see God’s plan
For all that lies ahead

He says there’s hope and future
But fears and chaos roam
These streets that once seemed good and true
And I feel far from home

But in the noise and darkness
He commands a light to shine
His mighty words and mercy
Bring wind and waves in line

So in my circumstances
Or whatever trials come
I’ll trust His plan is best for me
And His star will lead me on
