Glimpses of His Heart

Though he has no conductor
The sparrow gladly sings
And without flight instructor
He bravely spreads his wings

And early while we’re sleeping
Woodpecker starts to tap
God’s schedule he is keeping
While owl begins his nap

And God designs for each their part
His love their place assigns
As tiny glimpses of His Heart
And miracles and signs

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God.
Luke 12:6 ESV

  1. I am a “sparrow watcher”. Sometimes huge flocks of sparrows invade our lawns. I am amazed that Jesus would call attention to a single common bird that no one would miss. That gives me an immense amount of hope.
