Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
Psalm 143:8 ESV
Our God who lit the sun on fire Who stirs the wrath of hurricanes Also made the joyful child Eager to see dawn’s flames For When our hearts feel cold and dead In joy our God prepared A day when stones roll back from tombs And for the road ahead And for the Road Ahead by Peter Caligiuri Copyright © 2023 all rights reserved.

And oh what adventures that road ahead will reveal! Yes, in joy God prepared that road–I think he’s also looking forward to when we finally take it to the gates of heaven!
I do love the Lord Jesus, but for me to take those final steps along the way, I will need Him to help me up the stairs.
Yes indeed–me too, Pastor Pete!
Interesting that you mentioned joy, the word that God is impressing upon me lately. Your poem is so powerful. From sunshine to hurricanes to the joyful child – God is in it all. I am also very thankful that you and Nancy were safe in this last hurricane. Have a very blessed weekend, Pete!

I am still wrestling with the final wording on this poem and yes, passing through another storm definitely helped to inspire it. I appreciate your comments as I would rather a few comments than a thousand likes. Have a blessed weekend as well.
