O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. Psalm 131:1-2 ESV
Amen, brother! I love this psalm. It’s so simple, yet Spurgeon called it one of the hardest spiritual disciplines to learn. Can I simply sit, satisfied with God, like a weaned child with its mother?
Beautiful, Pastor Pete. This and some other recent verses reflect the wisdom, perspective, and contentment gained through years with Christ. God bless you.

Oh I have a Psalms book with parts of Spurgeon’s “The Treasury of David.” I will have to take a look. Thanks!
Love it! Blessings, Pastor Pete!
Thanks Cindy! These little heart lessons are the hardest for me to learn. Glad you enjoyed. Blessings
