A Real Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is simply our recognition that He has been a faithful God in every season of our lives. From our rainy Spring days to our snow drifting winter nights He remains our Savior and the lover of our soul.

Happy Thanksgiving and God bless!

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
I Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV

Thank You!

Today Praise2worship reached the milestone of 500 followers. Though I have never actually set goals to have any certain number of readers I do want to take a moment to say thanks to all. After spending days week or months at various writing projects from which I share bits and pieces it is nice to hear from some of you out there. Thanks for taking the time to read (I do try to be brief!). Thanks for encouraging words and for your own insights, photos (Oh I love the flowers and children). My small insight for your day is this. Live and write what you have learned to be true in your own real life at the feet of Jesus Christ!

The Complaining Trap

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Ephesians 1:3 NKJV

Someone heard me loudly complaining about how not enough people were there to help me when I needed it. I hadn’t realized how badly I had fallen into the complaining trap until they strongly pointed out my words. I was quite embarrassed and ashamed and apologized. So this week I am asking God to help me stop complaining and to be more thankful for things. I love that this hymn writer shows us that to avoid the complaining trap we need to begin asking God to tune our hearts to praise and end with confession and thankfulness. May you have a blessed Sunday and watch out for that complaining trap!
