A Little Family Time

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. Mark 6:31 KJV

Our family times matter. Whether we are cleaning the house, going to the beach or heading to church on Sunday, the fact that we are doing them together makes it a memory worth keeping. I am loving the Mullett family picnic as they sing one of my favorite old hymns played with an Irish sounding lilt. I pray that your summer activities include taking time off, even if it is just a long weekend and build memories as a family that will last a lifetime.

Power of Perspective

Lots of us have heard famous speakers talk about suffering from the pulpits of mega churches, but don’t see how it connects to our own lives. But the testimony of the Mullett family is as down to earth and as real as it gets. I am posting part five here tonight believing that there is someone else besides me who is going through a life altering time of difficulty, grief or confusion. The good news for all of us is that God is also as real as it gets and I am so thankful that He walks by our side through every moment of our lives!

As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 ESV
