Higher Ground – Video

Luke 23:52-53 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

When Jesus was born, Mary wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid him in the manger because there was no room for him in the inn. At His death Joseph of Arimathaea took him down from the cross and wrapped him in clean linen and put him in Joseph’s own tomb, because Jesus did not have His own. From birth to his last breathe on earth it was clear that there was nowhere on this planet that Jesus belonged, because His true home was in Heaven and in our hearts. When we put our faith in Him for salvation, what was true for Jesus becomes true for us. We lose our acceptance on earth but we gain a citizenship in heaven where Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us. We are called to higher ground! I pray you will be blessed by the video today and that you will be encouraged as you remember that we are called by faith to stand on heaven’s tableland!

Step by Step into 21

From milking the cows to following the light of God’s word into 2021; this week’s video shares memories and encouragement for our New Year. Songs included today are God Leads His Dear Children Along and Higher Ground. After all we have been through in 2020 I pray God to help all of us step into 2021 with greater faith and hope for all He has in store in the year ahead.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

Higher Ground

TheĀ LordĀ God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. Habakkuk 3:19

In an hour of confusion. In a time where brothers and sisters are being isolated from one another wand the world is trying to sow division in the body of Jesus Christ we must take the higher ground. It is a Holy place. It is not ours to take but ours to seek. Oh may God grant us strength to climb the heights whatever the price! This week’s Sunday praise comes from the beautiful heart and an equally beautiful voice of Loretta Adjetey (Lor). May you be blessed as you draw strength from Jesus to keep climbing those heights a little further every day!
