Sabbath Gift of Grace

The Sabbath is a Gift of Grace

It’s not a law we must obey
 Or just some answer on a test
 But it began at the creation
 That God made a day for rest
  
 Just as the sun was going down
 And as His children lay to sleep
 He gently covered them with night
 And then bowed low so they could meet
  
 And in the morning walk the path
 And tell them how His hand had traced
 The course of daybreak and the stars
 Then gave a Sabbath gift of grace

Every Detail His Design

 The Lord is my Shepherd. I have everything I need. Psalm 23:1 ESV 

Drifts of snow on lonely hills
 Pot-holed city streets
 Blossoming of lilacs
 Each keep their chosen beat
  
 To the melody that God composed
 Through slow and racing days
 Each calling our attention
 To His almighty ways
  
 Yes - everything we need is ours
 But not all things we would
 Every detail his design
 Of all things for our good

Ducks and Eagles

Ducks and Eagles
 Way up in the sky
  Eagle soars all alone
 Far from the mud below
 Flying high in the blue
 He thinks it is true
 That he’s the best bird in the show
  
 While down at the farm
  Ducky waddles along
 With his tribe by the edge of the stream
 Leading them on
 To the cool water’s edge
 Where their dirty feet 
 Can be washed clean
 
 Now that I your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, 
you should also wash one another’s feet
