Wise Men Shepherds and Children

When the wise men left their homes they were following a star seeking a new born king. Little did they know that all along their journey He was seeking them. This second Sunday of the Christmas season songs are a medley of Away in a Manger and Amazing Grace along with The First Noel. May God help us all to find the one who is seeking our hearts!

When long ago the inn was full
On that dark first Christmas Night
God turned and chose the manger bed
To shine His brightest Light

God’s Garden Calendar

 In January’s cold and snow
 We sketched our garden dreams
 Then in February and in March bought seeds
 Of tomato, corn, and beans
  
 Our April was for planting
 And May and June for weeds
 Then in July fresh broccoli came
 August squash met all our needs
  
 Bell peppers still were filling bags
 Until September’s frosty ground
 Yet pumpkins kept on ripening
 When October came around
  
 So, we bowed our heads in thankfulness
 With November nearly done
 Remembering in December God
 Came to plant in hearts His Son

Love Is

 Love is patient as it turns
 And walks down our small street
 There in kindness taking time
 To wash our dirty feet
  
 Love protects from angry waves
 And believes we’ll come to see
 Gives us hope in deepest trials
 Till doubt and shadows flee
  
 Love was working in the dark
 Before they came that day
 Before they knew Christ was alive
  Love rolled the stone away!
  
 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
