A Thousand Thank You’s

I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers. Philemon 4

Thankfulness is a lesson I am still in the process of learning. Maybe, like Martha, I am overburdened with the pots and pans of life clanging in my ears, that I too easily pass by the quieter people who are nearest and dearest. It is far too easy to dash ahead to the next goal, the next project or chore, and to simply flick on the television and relax at day’s end without a moment to say thank you. So, this morning, before I rush out the door, let me say “Thank you!” and “God bless!” to the 1,000 people who for one reason or another have followed this blog. We are on a journey together, following the footsteps of the one who gave thanks and blessed the bread and the cup that He passed around the table to us. When we eat the bread and drink that cup together, we remember His death until He comes. Let’s begin this new day and new week to be thankful for those He has placed in our lives and treat one another with grace, respect for our differences and kindness.

Madeline Let’s Her Light Shine

What an awesome time I had singing at the nursing home today with our granddaughter Madeline. I hope you love her bringing the love and light of Jesus with her voice as much as the folks at Life Care did this morning!

What a wonderful time I had at nursing home today when my granddaughter volunteered to come in and sing with me! The people just lit up when they saw her in the front, and it was heartwarming seeing their eagerness to sing with her. When young people come to visit – it is better than any medicine that the doctor can prescribe! I hope you love this week’s video and that you will go out wherever you are and let your light shine for Jesus!!

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 KJV

A Little Family Time

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. Mark 6:31 KJV

Our family times matter. Whether we are cleaning the house, going to the beach or heading to church on Sunday, the fact that we are doing them together makes it a memory worth keeping. I am loving the Mullett family picnic as they sing one of my favorite old hymns played with an Irish sounding lilt. I pray that your summer activities include taking time off, even if it is just a long weekend and build memories as a family that will last a lifetime.
