What I Remember

I can’t remember growing so old

Or losing my hair

But they say that I’m there

I can’t remember not being young

To always run…oOh such fun!

But then I’ve walked with Him

Who gave breath to man

Who filled the oceans

And counted their sands

Who laughed at years

As they hurried past

His unchanged promise

That stands at last

And tonight I am tired

But not ready for sleep

And I still remember

How His love and truth

Which He gave by grace

His cross as proof

That my sins were paid

And my soul restored

So at the end of this night

I’ll awake with my Lord

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Psalms 23:6 NKJV

Welcoming Children

If the Bible doesn’t fit

Your life style choice today

And those pesky 10 commandments

Are definitely passe

Then who made all your rules

That tell you what’s PC?

And what is really good or bad

And says what has to be?

But if God is still creator

And Jesus is His Son

And the cross still takes away our sins

And heaven’s still to come

Then we’ve got hope

God is still good

He can forgive

our sin

He gave His life that we might live

And welcomes children in!

My Winter Garden

Queen Lily she is resting

Underneath her frozen bed

While sister Iris covered in snow

Shakes her sleepy head

The daffodils start snoring

While the tulips pray for Spring

And Rose patiently puts on her robe of ice

Till the robin flies home on May’s wings

And the Father of Gardens smiles lovingly down

Through this season of quiet and cold

As we gently wait through our Winter

Till His bloom time comes round for our souls
