A Picture Frame in Poetry

The picture frame that limits
Our quickly flying years
Marks a border to the canvas
On which our life appears

And day by day the choices
Of how we use our time
Are painting our life’s portrait
For those we leave behind

So why not give the artist’s brush
By faith To Jesus Christ?
Only He can paint the love of God
In our picture frame of life

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus,
so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10 NLT

He Remembers Prayers

Prayer is not an idle wish
And more than wondering
If God might be too busy with
Some more important things

It puts down its deepest roots
In the garden of our cares
Knowing God has scheduled us
In His appointment book of prayer

And bends low to listen for
Each child of His who seeks
For He well remembers when
At Calvary He was weak

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15 ESV

Jesus Hungered Yet He fed

And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. Matthew 4:2 ESV

Jesus hungered yet he fed
Five thousand with five loaves of bread
He thirsted but He promised all
Living streams for those who call
Yes - Jesus walked and Jesus wept
Jesus rested and He slept
Till His suffering on the cross
Where He paid sin’s awful cost
Now He’s gone to Father’s home
To make a place where we may come
There in Heaven He waits for them
Who by faith will follow Him
And will serve in love till He
Returns so with Him we will be.
