The mockingbird began to sing
Before the morning light
So filled with praise he could not wait
Until the sky was bright
And in the rains of afternoon
He kept on singing strong
All through the thunders crashing down
His notes still echoed on
When began the shadow's fall
I listened for his voice
And while the night came creeping in
He called to me rejoice
Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Philippians 4:4 ESV

Loving those God who gives us With both arms open wide We catch a glimpse in them of Him Who waits the other side
For now we know so little of What Heaven will be like Or those He greatly treasures And what is precious in His sight
But then – Yes then! We’ll fully know The One we see in part No more a dim reflection then For there we’ll see His heart!
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV
His hands wide open
Stretched to hold
Kind Joseph’s calloused palm
Then reached to grasp sweet Mary’s hair
That was gently hanging down
Hands that multiplied five loaves
Held a child in their embrace
Lifted a man to walk again
Then touched a leper’s face
Hands that shared the wine and bread
And washed our dirty feet
Were nailed wide open on the Cross
Their work for us completeHands Wide Open by Peter Caligiuri
