This week we received this prayer request from our fellow brother, Pastor Simon Peter Kaleem in Lahore Pakistan:
URGENT PRAYER REQUEST.
Christian colony in Peshawar Pakistan is under attack of a group of terrorists. There is a cross firing going on between police and terrorists. Please remember our brother’s and sisters in your prayers
As many prayed, God granted mercy with this attack being caught in its early stages. But this is the daily reality of our brothers and sisters in Pakistan. The Bible tells us to pray as if it were us when we ask for help.
Hebrews 13:3 Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.
How would it be if our phone rang this morning and we received a message that our church was under attack, that someone had set off a bomb in the Sunday school building, that some of our families had been killed at a park? How would we react? How would we pray?
These are not hypothetical circumstances for the Pakistani church. These are the exact things that have happened over just the last few years, and yet they continue going to church, working to help the needy and sharing the love of Christ. The Bible tells us we are one body, one family and one church. These are their children, will you pray with them today?
