I have discovered over the years that God has so changed my heart that my heart has changed my prayers.
Flowers
Desert Blooms
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; Isaiah 35:1 ESV
It is a beautiful sight when a rose garden gives off its fragrance and is filled with blossoms of many colors. That is what our lives are like when God has poured out His blessing and we praise Him
But when dry winds dry out the soil of our garden till it turns hard and barren then a blossom is not a blessing: it becomes God’s miracle!
Waiting to Bloom
Wait on the Lord ; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord ! Psalms 27:14
Waiting for God is in some ways like waiting for a flower to bloom. The promise of it’s full beauty is wrapped tightly in a tiny bud. If we pry it open we will forever lose the chance to see what the full blossom can become.
We cannot rush God but with strength and courage we must trust that He knows what He is doing in His garden. Whatever it is you are waiting for today – trust Him. He knows the precise moment for every flower in the universe to open. He will unlock the fragrance hidden in the blossom exactly when someone needs its perfume today!
