Two Lost Sons

Everyone loves the parable of the prodigal son. But the story that Jesus tells is actually about two boys. One was lost in a far off city and the other lost right at home. All of us are a lot like these two but no matter which son (or daughter) you are like remember that God loves us both.

This week’s songs include; Nothing But the Blood; Our Great Savior (Jesus what a Friend for Sinners) and Are You Washed in the Blood. Remember to pray for our brothers and sisters who live in long term care for whom I produce these videos. Consider that they cannot have not been able to have visitors for any reason since March 10th and there is no end in sight. The good news is that Jesus is a friend who cannot be quarantined or kept out! If you know anyone in nursing care or who is being quarantined at home who would like to hear these familiar songs please consider sharing the video links. They are the closest to a chaplain’s visit that I can give. Have a good week everyone and I hope you will be blessed!

Higher Ground

TheĀ LordĀ God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. Habakkuk 3:19

In an hour of confusion. In a time where brothers and sisters are being isolated from one another wand the world is trying to sow division in the body of Jesus Christ we must take the higher ground. It is a Holy place. It is not ours to take but ours to seek. Oh may God grant us strength to climb the heights whatever the price! This week’s Sunday praise comes from the beautiful heart and an equally beautiful voice of Loretta Adjetey (Lor). May you be blessed as you draw strength from Jesus to keep climbing those heights a little further every day!

In God We Trust

I used to have breakfast at a diner early every morning before work. Over the cash register they had a sign saying; – In God We Trust ….All others pay cash!
If you are wondering who to trust anymore you are not alone! In the darkest hours of the Civil War the Treasury Secretary inspired by a personal letter from Rev Mark Watkinson wrote to the Philadelphia mint requesting the following:

“Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins.”

In our own dark hour how much more should we learn to trust in Jesus? This weeks songs include. Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus – Trust and Obey and Oh How I Love Jesus.
