Sunday Praise and Giveaway

What a blessing it is to know that in the midst of a storm Christ is our solid rock. Before we set sail on the waves of another challenging week, Jesus is our anchor. I was so blessed by this virtual choir’s rendition of Solid Rock that I wanted to share it with you for Sunday. I also wanted to let anyone know that might be interested that Monday and Tuesday will be ebook giveaways for 2 devotional books and one resource book on Nursing Home Ministry. I will post the links and titles at the bottom of this post. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

Waiting on the Lord

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint! Isaiah 40:31 KJV

Waiting for the Lord is not like waiting for the train. The train might be late, or it might have left early and you missed it! But waiting for the Lord is a sure thing like waiting for Christmas. No matter what happens we know Christmas will definitely come. We wait expectantly and even eagerly sometimes start shopping August!

God promises that no matter what else happens we can have wings like eagles and the power to run all the way to the end of the race. I don’t know about you but looking ahead to 2021 I need God’s strength more than ever! For those who like the video this please feel free to leave your comments and likes on my YouTube channel. May God bless each of you with His strength and power as you wait on Him!

Music for Memory Care

Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! Luke 12:24

In spite of my having memorized this verse; I confess I have been worrying. It’s as if that scripture has lived on the shelf for so long that it has passed its expiration date. Or maybe I worry because we have now passed the fifth week of complete shutdown from being able to sing for my friends in the nursing homes where I visited each week. I know that the staff is doing their best to care for them but I am especially concerned for those in memory care. I think about how they not only have not had a chance for my music but they also have lost contact with family, friends and not even a priest or pastor is allowed in to hold their hands if they pass away.

But in my quiet moments of private worship God reminds me that He would never leave them alone. There is no virus, no shutdown, no sickness or even death that can separate any of us from His love! He has promised to be with us and God’s promises are never go out of date!

If you know someone who is shut in during this time please consider sharing my simple videos. This one includes; Jesus Loves Me; Trust and Obey and Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus. Most of my people not only know these but they love to sing along! I have included captions so they can follow easily. God bless and have a blessed week-end everybody!
