Jesus Loves Me in Memory Care

The long term care community is far more complex than those on the outside realize. There are group homes for those with various mental disabilities, independent living neighborhoods surrounding inhouse care buildings as well as short term rehab facilities. But when the average person mentions nursing homes, their mind inevitably turns to memory care. The residents in these places are the most vulnerable, needy and yet forgotten of all. Today’s video gives a hope filled glimpse into the lives and faith of my most special friends. I encourage you to take a second look at what part you may play. Jesus Loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Will you join Jesus in loving someone in memory care this week?

Devotions For Caregivers – Free this weekend

Having served in Nursing Home Ministry for most of my adult life I have written a few books as an encouragement to others. This weekend I am delighted to offer a devotional specifically for Caregivers as a free eBook Saturday through Monday. Though I have seen a lot I surely don’t have all the answers but I do hope these simple stories and scriptural gleanings may be a blessing to you.

Sunday Praise and Giveaway

What a blessing it is to know that in the midst of a storm Christ is our solid rock. Before we set sail on the waves of another challenging week, Jesus is our anchor. I was so blessed by this virtual choir’s rendition of Solid Rock that I wanted to share it with you for Sunday. I also wanted to let anyone know that might be interested that Monday and Tuesday will be ebook giveaways for 2 devotional books and one resource book on Nursing Home Ministry. I will post the links and titles at the bottom of this post. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!
