Just wondering if any of my fellow bloggers might know what is happening. The last 4 days, I have been getting thpusands of views, though about the usual 15-20 likes and a few comments. Is this anything anyone else is seeing? Is this AI at work, a Romulin invasion, solar flares?

Yes, ot is unsettling that some machine is gobbling up all my old posts. I had deleted several years recently, but now wish I had done more.
Hi Pete, I haven’t seen thousands but I have seen an increase in high hundreds. I usually get about 150 visitors and a couple of hundred views a day but this has increased to the high eight and nine hundred a day lately. Most visitor increases are from the USA and the UK. A large percentage are singular visitor and singular views, which also is unusual. Both visitors and views have increased proportionally. I’m curious to see how long it lasts. Evidently from WordPress users, these spikes have appeared in the past and WordPress indicated it was nothing to worry about. If you find out anything, please let me know. – Bruce
I did a little research and increased bot activity (non-human) has been noted as of late but nothing definitive isolated. Evidently that has happened before. Recommend wait and see if it persists.
I am guessing they are scanning our posts and feeding them into a language model without our knowledge or permission. I had 873 views 3 days ago, and 1154 yesterday

Whatever it was seems to have passed. All in all a very strange four days. Normal views for me are about 50-70. Lsst week, day 1 was 125, day 2, 256, day 3, 857, day four, 1157. Not sure what that was all about, but I thought letting others know would be important.
I’ve noticed the same thing. I don’t usually keep up with those things but I keep getting the Word Press notice that my stats are booming. Now I see it was just a bust! Ha!
All very odd, but as in everything else, God is in control.
