Peace beyond my understanding
And the things I do not know
His peace now guards my mind and heart
When I glimpse Heaven from here below

At Nazareth it came to Mary
To Bethlehem’s shepherds while asleep
And at the cross to thieves and soldiers
A peace that only Heaven keeps

And here in unexpected moments
When thunder and the lightning flies
Our Great Father shows His mercy
By the peace that Christ supplies


And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, 
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

   • I wrote this set to the rhythm of the old hymn, Here is Love. Following the pacing of classic hymns is something I often do. If you haven’t heard that one before you might be blessed as you listen.

     • It is an old Welsh hymn but also is in English so you can take your pick.
