Giving it all Away

It’s as if the Apostle Paul is torn between this world and heaven. In the hymn “His Eye is in the Sparrow” there is a line that asks “Why should my heart feel lonely and long for heaven and home?”

Everything we have we will one day leave behind. Maybe we should simply ask God to let us live just long enough to give all we have away.

Being a Peacemaker

I have learned that peacemaking has a price. While others take positions that they feel are right and demand that others be condemned…I cannot. I must allow myself to be included among the accused and listen till God gives me something of value to say. Only His Words are the balm of Gilead that bring healing to the wounded and true peace that will outlast any war.

All the Way With Christ

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:11‭-‬13 NKJV

Contentment is not like a parking space where we can get out saying “I have arrived” Contentment is a dynamic relationship with Christ – He alone is the endless source of renewable energy who will keep us running all the way home to Heaven’s door.
