A Little of God’s All

Overflowing joy! When was the last time you honestly remember experiencing joy like that? I know for me it has been way too long. Maybe those extremely poor believers who Paul had befriended discovered that just as Jesus had said “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”. Maybe they found that giving all of their little gave them a chance to receive a little of God’s all and it was more than they could have ever imagined!

There is a River

In our rush to go where we think we need to be some days we whizz by with barely a glance out our window. Our goals insist we hurry. But in our rush we just might be missing the plans of God. His plans are like an overflowing river if will just pull off to the side of our road to see them. Their source is before time in the far distant mountains of eternity. Their goal is beyond our horizon and empties into the sea of His forgiveness and love.

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. Psalms 46:4

What I Remember

I can’t remember growing so old

Or losing my hair

But they say that I’m there

I can’t remember not being young

To always run…oOh such fun!

But then I’ve walked with Him

Who gave breath to man

Who filled the oceans

And counted their sands

Who laughed at years

As they hurried past

His unchanged promise

That stands at last

And tonight I am tired

But not ready for sleep

And I still remember

How His love and truth

Which He gave by grace

His cross as proof

That my sins were paid

And my soul restored

So at the end of this night

I’ll awake with my Lord

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Psalms 23:6 NKJV
