Memories and Mountains

As the mountains surround Jerusalem so the Lord surrounds His people, from this time forth and forevermore. Psalm 125:2

Because it is so easy for us to forget his faithfulness God puts His reminders all around us. He sees we are quick to remember our difficulties and slow to count our blessings. So in His wisdom He chooses to create a mountain of memories so great that we can not possibly forget. He writes on His creation a love note. ” Trust me, I am working everything out for your good. Be back soon! Love God”

Trees Walking

Mark 8:24 And he looked up and said, ” I see people but they look like trees walking.”

This man could begin to see once Jesus Christ prayed but he didn’t really know what he was looking at. We can’t know if what he lacked was focus, depth perception or if he was simply confused. We are all sometimes a bit like him. We are beginning to walk in some new opportunity, ministry or relationship but in spite of the excitement of the moment we still are stumbling over our own feet. We see people but not as God sees them. Tonight rather than being discouraged we need to go back to the Lord. Yes He has begun the blessings but He isn’t through yet. Take this moment to place again into His hands what He has begun and He himself will give us His own 20/20 heavenly vision!
