Nursing Home Workers Training Manual

Walking With Lambs

In our effort to continue to provide new and better training materials for the nursing home worker we are offering this newly updated and expanded training manual. To the older manual we have added three training sessions focused on music ministry in the nursing home. Anyone within our northeast region is also welcome to ask for us to come and to introduce the training materials in your local church. Our longing and desire as always remains to call attention to the overwhelming needs and challenges to service that lie just the other side of the four walls of your local nursing home.

Our new manual is available on Amazon under the title. “Would You Do It For One? Workbook” or you can follow the link below. Be blessed as you consider the calling to nursing home ministry.

Angels are Watching

Walking With Lambs

Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father. Matthew 18:10

They are just helpless sheep and a good opportunity to exploit to a wolf. But to the owner of the sheep they are precious and worth defending. They are worth being cared for. They are worth something unexplainable, that links them to the Shepherd.

That is exactly what our Father sees when he looks behind the walls of our modern nursing home. Though the residents may seem to be of little value to our fast paced consumer culture, they are of infinite worth to God. If we will treat these little lambs with kindness their angels will see. Remember that God’s takes special delight in His weakest lambs!

An Eternity With God, [Get Ready]

Awesome thoughts for a quiet Sunday morning…

Broken Believers

18″ So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

2 Corinthians 4:18, (NLT)

This dear ones, is an awesome verse with some pretty profound implications. The more I marinade in it, the better it gets.

But more importantly, it refuses to give in to the temporary. The earthly reality that swirls around us is brief. Its provisional purpose is an exclusive one; it exists to prepare us for an eternity with God. That hope ‘rewires’ us. We must be prepared for this encounter, we must be changed.

The spiritual realities are the ones that are truly real,

(And the ‘Bible truths’ are the ones that are really authentic.)

Issues must be settled in the temporary ‘here-and-now.’…
