Our Family Lulla-Bye

Back in 1978 or so I used to read to our children from a book titled “Poems and Prayers for the very Young” It was one of my favorite and in it my favorite little verse was “Singing Time” by Rose Fyleman. I sat one day playing the guitar and put together a little melody along with a chorus and two more verses. I pray this will be a blessing to other families also. There is no more special moment than passing on to our son or daughter the simple joy of God’s gift of life!

My wife and I serve as members of a worship team at a multicultural church. Our members are from Brazil, Nepal and the U.S.. Because of the many languages and cultures in our local body we face unique challenges, such as how many songs will we do in English today? What new songs can we use in either language that are simple enough for the people to sing. The songs, the devotions and insights here are a small portion of some of the ways God is leading us as we push towards the goal. I pray that these will be both a blessing and an encouragement for those of you who may pass by Praise 2 Worship.

  1. Oh I love it Pete. How sweet that you’ve given your children such a treasure! Rose Fyleman wrote one of my most favorite poems about fairies at the bottom of the garden. Thanks for sharing this. Hugs, N 🙂
