Grateful Challenge Day One

In everything give thanks for this is the will of God In Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

This week at church we were challenged to spend the week being grateful and not complaining.

I confess that I have failed the not complaining part but I have been truly grateful for the Winter for the first time this year. In the Bible snow is always good. He washes our sins whiter than snow. Snow at harvest is compared to a refreshing word. God brings the snow and ice out of his treasury. So thank you God for this blessed refreshing rich and clean Winter day!KIMG0597

My wife and I serve as members of a worship team at a multicultural church. Our members are from Brazil, Nepal and the U.S.. Because of the many languages and cultures in our local body we face unique challenges, such as how many songs will we do in English today? What new songs can we use in either language that are simple enough for the people to sing. The songs, the devotions and insights here are a small portion of some of the ways God is leading us as we push towards the goal. I pray that these will be both a blessing and an encouragement for those of you who may pass by Praise 2 Worship.

  1. According to Romans 1 not being grateful and giving thanks to God is the hallmark of those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. We have so much to praise our great God and Savior for. Most importantly eternal life. I too need to bow my knees and humbly thank and praise God for everything He has done, does and will do in my minuscule life. God bless you:)
