Day Five: 10 Questions for God – Lord what?

“I asked, ‘What should I do, Lord?’ “And the Lord told me,…Acts 22:10

Until we cry out like Paul in stunned astonishment we will never have the chance to hear an answer.  Most of my own struggles with listening have been a result of mental pride. But as I have grown older and found that my own abilities are quite slipping and that time is so short I have begun to look for help both from others and from the Lord himself. While we try to control what we think are the important areas of life to show everyone our ability, God gently unfolds his wisdom in the fragile and delicate petals of a flower that no one may ever see but Him.

My wife and I serve as members of a worship team at a multicultural church. Our members are from Brazil, Nepal and the U.S.. Because of the many languages and cultures in our local body we face unique challenges, such as how many songs will we do in English today? What new songs can we use in either language that are simple enough for the people to sing. The songs, the devotions and insights here are a small portion of some of the ways God is leading us as we push towards the goal. I pray that these will be both a blessing and an encouragement for those of you who may pass by Praise 2 Worship.
