Last Long Summer Days

 Late August is the time to bring the last of the harvest into the barn. Everything we leave undone will be lost forever to the frost and wind.

A wise youth harvests in the summer,
    but one who sleeps during harvest is a disgrace. Proverbs 10:5

Unchanging Grace

When storm clouds threaten to swallow whole the blue skies of our hopes and dreams we are being given an opportunity to experience God’s grace. When sorrow seems ready to choke out all the joy from our hearts and we feel the tears knocking at our door, then God alone becomes our all. He is the one who rides on those very clouds to come near to us.

He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind Psalm 104:3
