Nepal and India 019

But he gives more graceTherefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6

If Jesus came barefoot to the door would he be welcomed in; and would He be considered a stranger, a guest or a part of the family?

6th Day of Christmas: The Gift of Joy

In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children…Luke 10:21

God has hidden his gift of joy so that we can only find it when we look with a child’s eyes!

4th day of Christmas: The Gift of Faith

The 4th day of Christmas: The gift of Faith

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold 1 Peter 1:7

God’s gift of faith is more precious than the gold that the wise men brought to Jesus!

5th Day of Christmas: The Gift of Hope

5th Day of Christmas: The Gift of Hope

When the candle of our heart begins to flicker there is only one who will come to restore the flame…

WWJD 4 Christmas Day 3

The Gift of Prayer…

But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

That sense of being totally alone in the world can be worse for some people as Christmas works its way closer. Even people surrounded by friends can feel abandoned because of inner struggles that no one else knows. There  is no greater gift we can give someone than to be able to say “but I have prayed for you”…
